Green Yard in August. No Water Restrictions to Work Around

Picture August in Austin. Every neighbor is watering at 3 a.m. and the lawn is still brown by noon. Yours is green, cool underfoot, and it hasn’t cost you a drop this month.

Why Homeowners Switch

What Full Lawn Replacement Actually Fixes

Water Bill Goes Down and Stays Down

Bermuda in Central Texas needs an inch of water per week to stay green through summer. On a typical 1,500 sq ft lawn that is measurable dollars every month. Turf zeroes that line.

Stays Green in Drought

Stage 2 or stage 4 water restrictions do not affect a turf lawn. Your yard looks the same in October as it did in March.

Saturdays Back

No mowing, no edging, no over-seeding, no dead patches from grubs, no aeration. Rinse it now and then and clear leaves in the fall.

Your Three Blend Options

Which Turf Belongs in Your Yard

Every yard is different. We bring samples of all three blends to your consult so you can see and feel them in your actual light.

centex blend artificial turf

Cen-Tex Blend

$9 to $11 per sq ft

Everyday value blend. Multi-fiber colors and shapes for realism, solid pile height, excellent drainage. Best for standard residential lawns where you want great looks without paying for luxury features.

texas supreme artificial turf

Texas Supreme

$14 to $15 per sq ft

Premium realism. Dense fibers, cooling technology built into the yarn, and the longest fiber life of the three blends. For high-end residential and showcase projects.

How Pricing Works

Four Factors That Set the Number

We give you a fixed quote after an on-site measure. No per-square-foot range gets published for the whole job because every yard has different site conditions. Here is what moves the number.

Square Footage

Larger yards get a better per-square-foot rate. The setup costs (delivery, base material minimum, crew mobilization) are the same whether we install 400 sq ft or 4,000. Volume dilutes the setup.

Blend Tier

Cen-Tex Blend, Hill Country, or Texas Supreme. The tier you pick moves the number by $3 to $6 per square foot. See the three cards above for what you get at each tier.

Site Prep

Existing grass has to be removed. Grade has to be pitched for drainage. The base is crushed granite compacted in lifts. On some sites there is a decomposed-granite layer, on others a full excavation. Sloped or root-shaded yards take more prep than a flat suburban rectangle.

Edging and Drainage

The perimeter of the turf gets bender board, edge board, or existing hardscape stops. Total linear feet of soft edge is measured on-site. Extra drainage lines get added where the yard slopes back toward the house or where oak roots block runoff.

Before You Install

Three Things to Think About

Sun Exposure and Fiber Tone

A shady yard makes a lime-green blend look artificial. A sun-baked yard makes a dark blend look burnt. We match blend to light because samples on your porch tell you more than samples in a showroom.

Drainage and Slope

Yards that slope toward the house need extra drainage. Yards under mature oaks need root-aware excavation. Yards that already flood in April will flood after turf goes in unless we grade for it.

Kid and Pet Use

Higher-traffic yards get denser blends and pet-friendly antimicrobial infill. If you have a dog run separate from the play lawn, we spec them differently so both hold up.
